An unusual Stapelia, the plant format being probably the nicest we know of, with its thin fuzzy grey stems held erect in a closely parallel grouping. Flower is deep red, spiculed, and vile to the nose. Indoors only, keep on the dry side esp. when cold.

Bizarre freak of the plant world. Produces one massive fleshy leaf up to 25 cms diameter which dries up as summer approaches and the plant is leafless over summer, just the tuberous root waiting for autumn.
