Tylecodon singularis

Bizarre freak of the plant world. Produces one massive fleshy leaf up to 25 cms diameter which dries up as summer approaches and the plant is leafless over summer, just the tuberous root waiting for autumn. Indoors, keep dry in summer. If you give too much water, however, more leaves can be produced as the plant gets all out of whack with the seasons.

7.Winter grower. Needs water in winter, not summer.

This mature flowering plant has two leaves instead of one, you get a bit of that. But note the large size and fleshiness of the leaves.
