Possibly the Prickly Pear or Indian Fig of horticulture, which has delicious fruit. (But watch the glochids!) Large flat green pads on a small tree. Easy outdoors in mild areas.

Auckland Zoo's Galapagos Tortoise doesn't mind which species it eats. Here it greedily bolts down O.ficus-indica.
