Fouquieria splendens

The famous 'Ocotillo' of the southern US and Mexican deserts. Tall whippy branches radiate from ground level. Brilliant red flowers. Leaves appear when this opportunistic grower gets water but give it dryness also. Indoors or sheltered patio pot.
