Cereus 'Green Wing'

Vigorous columnar cactus to 5+ m. Almost spineless stems are up to 20cm diameter yet lightweight on account of the deep winged ribs. Large nocturnal white flowers. Outdoors OK.

2.Indoors OK, Outdoors OK, easy to grow.

Virtually spineless, with deep ribs or 'wings'.
Fastgrowing, in good conditions 80cm per year. This one came to dominate our Sales Area garden.
An amazing show of flowers every summer.
Young branches vary in spininess, depending on their position.
David has begun dispatching this big old fella to make way for the Transpower NAaN Project. A sad day.
Just the skeleton remains, and the rest of the garden has been demolished already.
Near the base the cactus was nearly solid timber.
Crying 'oer the bones.....
