Aloe sabaea

Rare tree aloe from remote and stony Yemen with curvy leaves atop a tall naked unbranched trunk to 4m. Large lax red flowers in mid-winter, on a tall inflorescence. Should be okay outdoors in warm position in mild areas.

3.Indoors OK, Outdoors OK in warm, well-drained position in mild areas.

Many-racemed inflorescence from swirly rosette of leaves.
The individual flowers are quite large and fat.
Shows narrow straight trunk.
Outdoors in Auckland, although not all thrive like this one did. It sold in our downsize auction for $9.
