SE Madagascar. Eventually treelike to 6m, but initially a bush of naked smooth erect fuzzy grey branches with a few minute black spines. Indoors, in bright light, but worth trying outdoors in sheltered raised position in mild areas.

Indoors OK, Outdoors OK only if protected from winter rain.
