Very heavy spiny rosette atop a stout unbranched trunk to 4 metres. Spectacular candelabras of flowers in midwinter, usually yellow. Close relative of A.marlothii. OK outdoors and frosthardy.
Indoors OK, Outdoors OK, easy to grow.
