We are are happy to welcome you to our new website.

Most features are functional now including the mailorder Shop.

The website Shop (and Library too) is currently getting none of our attention as it is more important that we finish the massive demolition job of 24,000 sq ft of our best greenhouses forced upon us by Transpower (our landlord) in order that they can lay one of their power cables in a trench through this leased strip of land.

Once the demolition and relocation is complete we will have time to maintain the Shop and Library with new material, of which we have plenty!

New listings were last added to the Shop about August 2010.

"Processing" will change to "SOLD" the next time I upload to the Shop. This is not easy to do with a software bug currently. With no time to add to Shop it hasn't been done for ages.

Explanation: The 'Not in the library yet' species is a workaround to cope with the fact that the Shop doesn't accept species without a Library entry. This is because the Shop entry connects and refers to the Library entry, so it needs to be present. So we put them here when we are too busy to create their Library entry.

Welcome to Coromandel Cacti

This website was completely rebuilt May 2010. Some of the changes are:

Our cactus and succulents for sale here are now all on one page, the Shop, while the general info on the species is in the Library.
The Shop plants are all individually numbered and photographed, so you can see exactly which one you want.
The Shop is now functional, please check it out. If you see errors or problems we'd be grateful if you point them out to us. If you try to place an order but are thwarted by some technical issue please tell us about it, and don't be shy!!
There is a Search feature, which will quickly find any word in the whole site, except in the Shop. Ask for the latest Shop List by email and you can search that more quickly. Use the form on the Contact Us page.
We can now make Special Announcements. See them, further down this page, where you can check what's up lately.
There are buttons marked + and - at the right of the screen. This is to enlarge the font for the hard-of-seeing people.
All the old content like the cultivation and indoor cultivation pages and our Coromandel Cacti Guide to problems is still there.
And if you're new to the cactus and succulent world (or just want to see some nice pictures) take a look at our extensive Tour of the Succulent World.
Please note: It may take time for our large Library to download, so if your connection is slow, try accessing the Library by using the quick view List to see all species names (without pics), then just click the species you want. Or use the Search box. Either way, you can go quickly to your desired species.
Register and Log In is needed to place comments in the Library. Later on, Log In will enable your customer details to be recalled to save time when shopping. Other than those things, just ignore it. You can shop without logging in. You can look at everything without logging in.
